With a date set for March 19, the National Short Cross Country Championships will be held for the first time in Guimarães, with Parque da Cidade Desportiva, next to the Gémeos Castro Athletics Track, organized by the Portuguese Athletics Federation, with the support of of the Braga Athletics Association and the Municipality of Guimarães.
The space, which has already hosted two editions of the Long Cross Country National Championships and the 2013 edition of this competition, will now be prepared for, on a 4 km course, with 2 km laps, to host a competition that, due to the pandemic, did not take place last season, and which had as winners in 2020, Paulo Barbosa, from Maia, and Mariana Machado, from SCB. Collectively, Benfica stamped its 7th title in men and Recreio Desportivo de Águeda won for the third consecutive time in women.
