At the last opportunity Portugal seeks to qualify another athlete in table tennis singles
Multiusos de Guimarães will host, if sanitary conditions in the country permit, a decisive European Individual Olympic Qualification event for the Tokyo Games, between the days April 21 and 25.
Even though it is currently transformed into a Vaccination Center against COVID-19, which will continue to function normally, its enormous versatility allows it to host this competition, which will be held in a Multiusos area with access and competition completely segregated from the Vaccination Center.
This European Individual Olympic Qualification is the last competition that allows to qualify athletes for the singles event and Portugal will try to qualify one more player for the biggest sporting event in the world.
The men's team qualified in the event held in Gondomar, ensuring the presence of two male athletes in the singles event. In singles, Fu Yu achieved the passport to Tokyo at the European Games in Minsk 2019.
